Mark Kozub - I = Zero
When snow still covered this frozen burg, and spring’s warmth had not yet come, Mark presented me with a package of drawings in a manilla envelope. I opened it up and rummaged through them. They were beautiful. Each image in itself was suitable for framing and hanging up on the wall. Obviously these images were drawn with great care and attention. These were not for the wall. These were for the video.

Wolfgang Carstens - Awake
I suppose it was the Black Sabbath T-Shirt that got my attention. There weren’t many poets on this day wearing band Ts. I first encountered Wolfgang as one of the readers at the Cafe Reading Series at the Edmonton Poetry Festival 2013. He immediately struck me as a little bit of character with his gruff beard, armful of poetry reading posters, press kit, Black Sabbath T-shirt and interesting poet hat.
